We welcomed Bessemer Venture Partners as our newest investor
Starting in February, Bessemer invested in Litify as the platform transforming legal business operations at its core. We’re thrilled to have the support of one of the country’s most sophisticated investors as we shape the landscape of legal. As part of the investment, Bessemer Partner Brian Feinstein became Chairman of our Board of Directors, bringing 15 years of business and vertical software expertise to our strategies and operations.
The “Litify & Friends” Booth Crawl at Legalweek
We debuted our first-ever booth crawl at this year’s Legalweek conference in March. It was a fun way to showcase the power of the Litify network. Thank you again to our participating partners: ECFX, Epiq, Kofax, LawPay, Lex Reception, NetDocuments, and Foundation AI!
Litify named the “Top Innovator” in case and matter management
In May, we were selected for this award by Theorem, a leading legaltech platform and marketplace. Winners were selected using data collected from across the Theorem network, including major organizations like the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC).
We celebrated one year of the Litify Llama
From his debut at CLOC 2022 to our most recent LitiQuest conference, it’s been one busy year for the Litify Llama! And from what we’ve seen, legal professionals love Jude Law-ma:
We released our 2023 State of AI in Legal Report
62% of legal professionals aren't yet using AI — and feel the industry isn't ready for the technology. We commissioned an independent market research firm to survey legal professionals on their perceptions and priorities for artificial intelligence.
Launched in August, the 2023 Litify State of AI Report, sheds light on the current use of artificial intelligence and its future impacts across the industry.
We welcomed Curtis Brewer as our CEO
Following a record-breaking second quarter, we announced Curtis Brewer as Litify’s CEO. Curtis brings deep expertise in scaling and operating software business and has an impressive track record in delivering a platform approach to fragmented industries. We’re excited to have him on board to further accelerate our company’s growth after achieving a record amount of revenue while continuing to expand our profitability.
Season two of Transforming the Culture of Law podcast
Hosted by industry leader Bill Biggs, “Transforming the Culture of Law” is a partnership bringing a unique series of conversations around the business side of law to the legal community. Bill’s passion is to bring positive change and transformation to law firms and legal professionals everywhere, which aligns with the Litify mission to revolutionize legal technology and culture.

We hosted our annual LitiQuest conference
Six years ago, we set out to standardize how plaintiff lawyers manage matters to become more efficient. Flash forward to this October, and we were discussing advanced automation, integrations, and insights that improve case values, business performance, and culture.
We launched new functionality in the Litify platform
Through our quarterly product releases, Litify clients benefit from regular upgrades and ongoing innovation within our powerful platform. With our updates in 2023, current customers now have the ability to:
- Share documents from Litify to your Client Portal
- Get ahead of invoice write-downs with billing rule logic
- Include WIP items in matter budgets for better forecasting and resource allocation
- Use custom LEDES templates and generate bulk invoices in Litify Time & Billing
- Edit PDFs in the platform after merging
- Open and save documents from Microsoft Word directly into the platform
Litify was named the “Practice Management Solution Provider of the Year” — again
For the second November in a row, we were recognized for this prestigious award by LegalTech Breakthrough. Litify was selected from more than 1,500 nominations from over 12 different countries! We welcomed Lauren Rothrock as our CPO
Last but certainly not least, we announced Lauren Rothrock as our Chief Product Officer (CPO) in December. Lauren brings an impressive track record in delivering client-centric product strategy, design, and adoption transformation to our team. As our CPO, she’ll be responsible for enhancing the Litify platform’s personalized and intuitive work experience for clients, supported by next-generation analytics and business intelligence, to drive better business performance.
