The Dominguez Firm is a personal injury and workers' compensation law firm based in Los Angeles. The firm previously faced major hurdles due to its reliance on outdated software and manual processes, which led to inefficiencies in client communication, reporting, and collaboration.
In their search for a comprehensive solution, The Dominguez Firm found Litify, a case management software built on Salesforce. After upleveling their legaltech, the firm has improved the ability to track cases, generate reports, and streamline workflows, ultimately enhancing client satisfaction and efficiency.
Before Litify, The Dominguez Firm relied on Aderant Total Office. While it served as a central case management system, the firm was limited by manual reporting and a lack of integration capabilities.
“Any time there was a request for data, such as how many cases we had open or closed, it was hours of work,” Lenin Garcia, CIO of The Dominguez Firm, explained. “The reporting wasn’t very strong, it wasn’t user-friendly, and the system didn’t integrate with the other tools we used.”
The firm also dealt with siloed processes. Intakes were handled in a separate system, creating double data entry and errors. “The intake team was collecting all this data, and then everything had to be manually transferred to Aderant,” said Garcia. “It created a lot of inefficiencies and disconnected teams from one another.”
When the firm began searching for a new platform, flexibility and integration were top priorities. Garcia also wanted to implement a cloud-based solution to enable the firm to work from anywhere, which would be a big upgrade from their outdated server-based system.
“The flexibility to integrate with other systems really sealed the deal,” Garcia said. “We were already using RingCentral and QuickBooks, and Litify could connect with all of them. Through these integrations, we could utilize one platform that centralized our data, connected our teams, and gave us valuable insights.”
Reporting was another deciding factor for Garcia. “With the foundation of Salesforce, we can run any report we need. Attorneys can go to their dashboard in the morning and get a snapshot of their entire caseload. That would have been impossible with our old system.”
Litify’s configuration options also stood out to the firm. With multiple practice areas, the ability to configure workflows for each case type was essential. “Litify made it easy for us to build the exact workflows each team wanted,” said Garcia. “That was amazing.”
With Litify, the Dominguez Firm can prioritize client satisfaction, data-driven decision-making, and internal collaboration instead of manually tracking case updates and inputting data.
“We have a full 360-degree view of the operation,” Garcia shared. “Marketing, intakes, attorneys — everyone is in the same system, seeing the same data, and collaborating seamlessly.”
Garcia also outlined more key benefits the firm has experienced as a result of switching to Litify:
Looking ahead, The Dominguez Firm is excited to expand their use of Litify AI, especially around reconciling medical records. “Sometimes you have 1,000 pages of medical records. Being able to generate a quick summary and extract the details of the injury is going to be very powerful. That’s what I’m most excited about,” Garcia shared.
